Look, I know you are enthusiastic about joining my roleplay, and that makes me really glad that you are...

but when I ask you not to make profile until I am finished with my own, I don't mean for you to go ahead and start working on yours behind my back. There is a reason I am having the players who have already reserved spots wait - it's because my profiles are going to have key details that pertain to yours. Since all of our characters are starting out as a "team," there is definitely already going to be some history between them, and I want to make sure we are on the same page.

And just to let you know..."reserved" does not mean that you have been "accepted" into the roleplay. That means that you have gotten passed the roleplay samples and have moved on to making the profile stage. I can still deny your entry. Normally I don't after I have accepted your roleplay samples, but in your case I might make an exception. You have already proved to me that you can't follow rules and not only that, but from what I can see in your profile so far...it is completely God-moddish and Mary-Sue. And I really can't have that.

Also...just to add to that...

I asked you not to make your profile yet and you started...not only that but you haven't even been accepted yet and you have ALREADY written an introduction post to the roleplay?! You have no idea what the setting is [since I haven't had time to write it yet] or know ANY details whatsoever and you are already jumping right in! WTF?!

In short...you're definitely not getting in now. Sorry. [Well...I'm not really sorry.]

Ladies, what would be running through your head RIGHT as I(MrFlagg) was about to go down on you for the first time?
So, I was reading a fic for a fandom where the two most common pairings are AxB and CxD. Both are non-canon pairings, though they are established fanon. The fic in question, however, is my otp for the fandom, BxC, a relatively obscure pairing. The fic itself wasn't half bad. It was awkwardly worded in places, but it's a really, really old fic and the author was very new to writing at the time she wrote it so it didn't bother me so much.

Or, it didn't until the author broke the nice, comfortable flow of the fic to have C, who's POV it was written from, explain why he wasn't with D and why B was with him rather then A. Not only was this completly unnecessary, but it broke the mood and flow of the story, jarring me right out of the fic. It would have been forgivable if AxB or CxD were canon pairings, but they're not (regardless of how suggestive the official art is). They are fanon, and therefore don't require explaination of their breakup, and if one feels they really need to throw it in there, could you at least make sure it smoothly works into the story, not just "What about A and D you ask? Oh, they just weren't right for us!"

is once enough?

inspired by this article....
my question is this...is it legal, or constitutional to condemn a person to death a second time if the first attempt isnt successful? is it the criminals fault that the execution didnt go as planned and should they have to sit through a second attempt because of this? im torn myself. his crime was heinous, yes, but do we believe in eye for and eye here? where does the line between just and cruel and unusual end and begin? does anyone deserve to see death twice? thoughts??? legal insight if you have any?

He replied to my thread in the Job Services forum and asked me to draw a pair of cyborgs/androids for his paintball site. I happily agreed to draw for him and reminded him to check the pricing list and my ToS (in case he can't afford it or something, he can tell me and I can give him a small discount, it's my first commission). I sent him sketches for approval and everything went smoothly so far: I made some mistakes but I corrected them as soon as I can.

I completed the lineart for the (very rough) sketch I gave him, and sent him a screencap/low res preview of what I've done so far. He didn't respond for some days, which I find odd since he's been prompt with responses before. I send him an e-mail asking if he's received the preview.

Here's where the BEWARE part comes in. He tells me that he's "found a [sic] artist" - wait, what? He has been hiring others behind my back? At this point my scam radar goes nuts. He may not be paying the others for the work they're doing as well. Oh wait, he's suckered not just one, but  multiple artists.

I e-mailed him again, stating that he should pay everyone for whatever work they have already done.

This was the response I got and I'm not sure what to make of it.

Yes, I know I should have gotten him to pay first before doing anything, lesson learned, etc.

So I went to the doctor with my urinary tract infection. They perscribed me those pills in the subject line, and I was wondering if this would mess with my HBC? Im on reclipsen if that would help, the doctor said it wouldnt mess with it, but the informational paper she gave me on the meds, said that it would. Would anyone know the anwser to this, it would be very helpful, or if anyone had the web adress for the drug checker.

Thank you so much in advance!!

Question to Commissioners

  • Nov. 7th, 2009 at 11:29 PM
I'm posting this for a friend of mine since he was recently screwed over by this but was very unsure of what to do except sell his stuff to make the necessary funds to cover for the commission.

What do you do if you ask for a commission from someone and have already sent in your references (in hopes of hearing an estimated quote as a reply), and then find out a couple days later that the artist already finished the art and sent you a teaser pic AND a quote for the finished piece.

What would you do as the commissioner? What would be the more mature way to handle this?

It seems that we're about to be hit over the head with the inane concept that Elly's writing career has to be put on hold because of her children's refusal to play fair and act like tiny adults. At least it's not because Farley won't admit that he's a man in a dog suit.

Also, I wonder who I can rope into my nefarious plan. Let's just say we'll all be having a merry early Christmas. Fufufu.
