1)What personality traits do you lack that you wish you had?

2)What do you think about tofu?

I really like it.

Dear PC,
When your barbarian is acting ass-pants crazy*, please don't attempt to hold the DM hostage with "I won't play anymore if you do this" when the paladin is going to coup de grace you for attacking the druid and sorcerer unprovoked* (and bringing the sorcerer to negative hp)* and i will let him keep his alignment.
No love,
Me, your first time DM

*Cut slimes into pieces until they were diminutive and then ate them and pooped and peed in the corners of the basement lab you claimed as your bedroom, are pretty good indicators of being ass-pants crazy.

**Paladin was suffering from confusion, attacked the barbarian because he thought he was a tentacle monster. Druid healed paladin after barbarian retaliated. When sorcerer and druid where within range, barbarian cleaved from them to paladin because otherwise he would only get 1 hit in.

EDIT: Also, don't be surprised if i say, "No, you're evil AND A WHORE," when you are playing your CN alignment as CE.

Have you got any holiday parties to go to this year?

If so, when/where and what will you be wearing?

(Mostly because I've got to go to one on the 10th and I have no clue what to wear ...)

I want to buy these but how do you think they would be in the snow? I'm not talking about going out to play in the snow but more like to wear to class and walk from my dorms to my classrooms.

If you have no idea, what boots do you recommend? I need some that I can wear walking to class but still look cute in the classroom (so not big monster hiking snow boots)

Hello, all. I’ve got a few more old-ish complaints, because for whatever reason I’m fortunate enough not to have any recent ones. Huzzah!

Sueness here )

But wait, there's more! )

Sincerely,
Me.

I'm new!

Hi, I'm Carla. I'm 22. I was just looking for the IUD community and stumbled on this one. I absolutely LOVE kids and enjoy being around them - I'm even in school for Education to be an elementary school teacher. I have a niece and two nephews who I love hanging out and playing like a kid with. But I don't want my own kids. Other people's kids give me enough child interaction. I am definitely a dog/animal lover. I recently got a puppy, which is a lot of work like a child, but waaaay cheaper. When I got him, it kind of reaffirmed the fact that I don't want kids. I would much rather devote my life to a dog or two, volunteering my TIME (something that kids need a lot of) to rescuing, helping and/or fostering dogs... stuff like that. I could even bring my puppy as a carry on on a plane for free, to travel with. He will be potty trained soon and once he reaches adulthood, he will be about $10/month for food, (unless he gets sick enough to go to the vet, of course).

I've always thought I wanted to be childfree, I've been mentioning it a LOT lately. I'd be completely happy without kids, with a dog. My mom always says I have to meet a guy and fall in love and I'll just want kids. Well, I believe I'm in love right now... (with a guy who could probably do without his own kids, too) and I think 22 is old enough to know I don't want to start a family in the near future. One of my sisters always says I HAVE to have a kid, so she can be an aunt... So I'd always try to factor that into my future. But the truth is, I don't see my future with any kids. I'd like to be able to do whatever I want, whenever I want.. maybe that sounds selfish. So I'd just say "ok... maybe I'll have 1 when I'm way older". It just seems like it's not accepted in society to make the choice that you don't want kids.

I'm excited and glad to see that there is a specific "term" for this kind of lifestyle, and that there's a lj community for it! :)

If you are married, do you still celebrate the anniversary of the day you started dating?
If you aren't married, would you celebrate your dating anniversary after you got married?

If yes, why?

No. And I can't understand why people would want another date to have to remember/celebrate.

Why does my itunes suffle suck today? It's never been this bad. I'm busy cleaning the house and it keeps play slow/sad songs, audiobooks or repeating the same artist every other song. ugh.

I walked outside to drive to the doctor, only to find a bright orange paper on my window and a boot on my car. The paper states that if I don't pay the amount ($669.75) in full (no payment plans) in 72 hours, my car will be towed and impounded and I will be responsible for towing and storage fees.

I have $3.09 in my bank account and will not get paid again until December 4th, which will only be a measly $200 paycheck.

What do I do? Any suggestions?

My mp3 player broke a few months ago and I can't afford another 120gb player.
I tried to live without music on my trips but finally cracked and took my dad's mp3 player when he left it behind.
Only to find he has 2 Twilight audio books on it.
When did my dad turn into a little girl?!
What would you do if your parents read Twilight?

inspired by the post by st0neface below, have you ever stalked someone? eg. asked around, tried to find out where they would be and then follow them?

i think the closest i've gotten to 'stalking' someone was taking a walk near the coffee shop afterschool in hopes of bumping into someone i met there. i was 13.

also, what do you think is the appeal of the simpsons? why are there so many fans? do you think the length of time that it's been running for has an impact? sorry for the weird wording, it's 3am here D:

A well loved book!

Football Question

Having a disagreement with my boyfriend's brother about the Indianapolis Colts.

Cut for people who don't like football. )

If you don't give a damn: Is anyone else in disbelief the year is almost over already?

I just wanted to come by and say

FUCK NINJA PERIODS.

I woke up and went about my morning routine as usual. Got the bus to campus and as I was heading to my dance class (YES. DANCE CLASS. WITH A NINJA PERIOD.) I stopped at a bathroom to do some business. LO AND BEHOLD there is a faint smear of blood on the TP. I go about my business, thinking I can go a few more hours until my seminar with no supplies (I had spent the night at my boyfriend's house and had not experienced ANY PMS so I had no tampons or pads with me) but it got heavy quickly and by the end of my dance class I had pretty moderate cramps. That shit legit snuck up on me. I didn't see it coming AT ALL and normally that's not how I operate. URGH.

1st diva period and all is wel

  • Nov. 30th, 2009 at 12:22 PM
i have to say i was a bit unsure when i found this "cup" product. it took me a long time of research and reading this group's forum before i made the plunge.

this is day 4ish of my period and i am hooked, no issues putting in or taking out, i must have bought the right size for my body (over 30 mom of two). i am a heavy bleeder so i have to dump every 2 hours right now, in the beginning of my cycle it was every 10ish. happy to report no leakage yet!

i have become a sort of cup advocate to my friends at work and my family (husband getting sick of details let me tell you LOL)

i think that even if you are unsure and uncomfortable you should make the jump like i did and buy yourself a cup (mine's the diva 2) get familiar with your body and the fit during your cycle, dry runs are a MUST, i spent days off and on with mine in getting used to the feel.

i have to tell you that you ladies made my decision and my purchase and this transition sooooo much easier than it would have been trying to wing it on my own, thank you very much!

TQC, I've acquired these four nail polishes. Which one should I use on my nails first?

For my photo class I have been doing a project that involves taking portraits of people (mostly my age, some older) with their childhood stuffed animals. There are two pictures for each person. I am turning it into a book for my final critique. The problem is that I don't have a title!

So, TQC, will you give me some suggestions?

Here are a couple of the images, to give an idea of what it looks like. )

Gmail Help

  • Nov. 30th, 2009 at 12:15 PM
TQC, why is gmail being mean to me? When I go to type an email, there's this enormous lag between what I'm typing and when it shows up on the screen. I tried troubleshooting/clearing cookies/etc, but it's still happening. Any idea what's wrong?

(I'm on a Mac using Firefox, if it helps.)
